Theatrical Experence

Holes: Lighting design

Although this was not my first time designing a theatrical show, being the head lighting designer on DSA’s production of Holes taught me how to more deeply understand directors. It also taught me how to think on the spot, how to adapt to rapid changes without inconveniencing others, and how to work with multiple deadlines.

In Summer of 2025, I had my first opportunity to work the Denver Fringe Festival at the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre, which hosted four shows during the festival. I created the lighting design for Arkham A$$ylum, which ended up winning the Viewers Choice Award among over 70 shows in the festival. It was an amazing learning experience because it was my first show in that venue, my first show with that company, and my first burlesque show.
